About Me

I love cakes and all sorts of sweet treats but I am not the greatest home baker or cook.

As a child I would experiment in baking with ready mix packet cakes and gradually making them from scratch. Although, what I have come to realise some of the recipes you follow in cook books or printed out from the internet never really turns out the the way you imagined it? or worse, it looks nothing like the beautiful photographs accompanied with the recipe. It leaves you feeling slightly deflated! especially after all that effort you’ve put in, hoping to create something close to spectacular.

Therefore I have decided to embark on an adventure to find fool proof recipes! I will be documenting all the highs and lows of my little baking adventure right here @ rogueduchesswonder
